“ I’ll gladly spend my money here again and again. Best service I’ve had in a long time. Our bartender was friendly, attentive, and clearly loves what she does. She checked on us regularly, made great drink recommendations, and kept the vibe fun and welcoming. The atmosphere was energetic without being overwhelming, and the music added to the experience rather than taking away from it. Our food came out promptly and was delicious. Management is clearly doing something right because the staff works seamlessly and genuinely cares about customers. An excellent experience from start to finish—can’t wait to come back ”
“ We were recently passing through Eureka, CA on our northern California vacation. My wife did a search online for a lunch spot and found the Vista Del Mar. From the name, we pictured a nice waterfront restaurant with an outdoor patio overlooking the water. The actual setting is a little more basic: it's in a fairly "industrial" area near the docks and is a basic white building. The sign in the window saying "No One Under 21" was a clue that this was not what I imagined. Rather, it was a bar that offered more than just bar food. Even though I am not a bar guy, I am glad we stayed because, as it turns out, they offer really good food! Considering that the bartender was the server and the place was packed for lunch, service was good. My wife had grilled fish tacos and I had fried oysters with a side salad. I don't know if they source these from nearby docks, but the oysters were fresh, juicy, and delicious! It was one of the best meals we had on our trip! If I ever find myself in Eureka again, I would not hesitate to have lunch here again! ”

“ We passed through Eureka on our way to Rockaway Beach OR. We stopped in for dinner and are glad we did. Not only was the food awesome but the prices were exceptional for what is served! The fish tacos were great. The fish and chips were some of the best and the clam chowder …. So good! If you are ever in the area and want some great local food with a friendly staff and bar atmosphere then Vista Del Mar is the place to go! I will definitely be going back to this spot whenever I’m in the area!!!! ”
“ Funky little place at the edge of industrial Old Town Eureka. It's a small local's place with that "Cheers Bar" feel. You kinda find your own table or sit at the bar when you come in... The bartender pointed us to a small peninsula bar with a few bar stools and told us she would be over shortly (as she was). Took our drink order and provided menus. Another bartender / server (Ashley) made some suggestions and took our order. Fish & Chips - Tempura Zucchini & Firecracker Shrimp The fish & zucchini were very good with big portions.... but the jumbo spiced up shrimp was over the top excellent and highly recommend. Note: order extra Firecracker dipping sauce. You'll need it and want it~ If we were locals to Eureka, we would be hanging there, for sure!!! Loved The Vibe ”
